My boss was pregnant this last semester so a co-worker and I got together to make her a little gift for the baby.  My boss isn’t a nerdfighter, but the only thing I could think the whole time I was crocheting this was, “Dear Evolution, I have always believed in you, and I have always defended you, now make me a puppy-sized elephant! Love, John.”

I love the idea of sprucing up everyday objects with knitting - back in the day I knitted a cover for the steering wheel of my car.  So when I saw a post with knitted headphones online, it was a no-brainer that I would knit some.  After waiting for my old headphones to die, I got some new ones and knitted i-cord until it made me sick!  I’m not a big i-cord fan, but this wasn’t so bad and the results are awesome, I get so many compliments!

bbowersofficial asked: I forgot I followed your knitting blog ahha.

Haha, well, it’s pretty easy to forget that when I haven’t posted for months!  But get ready for some awesomeness then!

Where Your Treasure Lies

The minute I saw this hat in the Deathly Hallows Part 1 film, I knew I had to make one.  Of course, someone had posted a pattern and with a little searching I found some modifications that I liked.  The decreases didn’t turn out as clean as I would like, but the overall effect was successful.

So it’s summer now, so this blog will get attention again!  Are you all ready for some fantastic knitting creations?  I’ve gotten pretty behind, so I have a few FO’s to post and then I’ll keep up with what I finish.  I’m super excited about what I’m currently working on, thanks for sticking around!

This was frustrating to make at first because I had never done loop stitch before, but the result is really fun - I kind of want one for myself now!

Another set of Christmas gifts, this time for my two suitemates!  They each got one of these cute cable headbands that were so quick to knit up - I did the second one in a day!  Here’s to hoping they like them (even though one of them already has one that is almost exactly the same!)

Fat babies that are a little more friendly - they didn’t jump off your body while you slept, I knit them!  For my two favorite Whovians - Nora and Veronica!

A truly interesting and well-designed pattern that was fun and easy to knit - it’s hard to believe they’re going to be slippers before you start seaming!  These knitted up very quickly and will be a great gift for my grandma this Christmas!
